Subandrio Hits in 25 Consecutive Games Sunday, April 7th, 2019 Long hitting streaks don't happen very often and when they happen it perks up everybody's interest. No one knows how long it will go -- it could end tomorrow -- but baseball fans and Buwono Subandrio are enjoying the moment right now. The 17-year-old Hokkaido Nippon-Ham shortstop extended his string to 25 consecutive games in Frogs Ballpark today. Subandrio got 1 hit, but the Hiroshima Toyo Carp got the victory. They toppled the Fighters 10-2. Buwono Subandrio grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd and singled in the 6th. For the season Subandrio has produced 40 hits in 90 at-bats for a .444 average with 2 home runs and gotten on base at a .515 clip. |
