Iwata's 28-Game Hitting Streak Ends Thursday, June 28th, 2012 His run was over, but a Chiba Lotte victory took some of the disappointment out of Tagashashi Iwata losing his 28-game hitting streak. The 25-year-old second baseman did not get a hit in 2 at-bats, but the Marines whipped the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles 10-9 today at Ballpark of Nasu College. This year Iwata is batting .361 with 3 home runs and 35 RBIs. |
