Muljana Hit String Snapped at 22 Thursday, July 26th, 2018 The Chiba Lotte Marines defeated the ORIX Buffaloes 8-6 today at Ballpark of Nasu College, but Buwono Muljana's 22-game hitting string was snapped and went to the wayside. Muljana went hitless in 4 at-bats. "I enjoyed the streak," the left fielder said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the 'W' today. That's all that really counts." This year Muljana is hitting .388 with 40 hits, no home runs, 12 RBIs and has scored 21 runs. |
