Thuy Hitless, Streak Ends at 23 Wednesday, April 25th, 2018 Kim-Hu Thuy, shortstop for the Yokohama Bay Stars, gave it a good try, but his day in history finally came to an end, when he went hitless in 1 tries against the Saitama Seibu Lions. Not only had they stopped his 23-game hitting streak, they had beaten Yokohama 5-3, too. Speaking with the media after the game, Thuy said, "Now that the streak has ended, I admit I will breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat. It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." This season Thuy has hit at a .385 clip with 18 RBIs, 5 home runs and 26 runs scored. |
