PL Selects Isma'il July's Top Starter Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 In July, Ammar Isma'il tore through the Pacific League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 17 years old. The young Fukuoka SoftBank starter posted a 4-0 mark and an ERA of 1.82 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 29.2 innings he collected 35 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .170 average. To date this season Isma'il is 5-1 with 7 starts and an ERA of 3.22 with 57 strikeouts in 44.2 innings. |
