ORIX's Lo Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Sunday, June 11th, 2017 It was a hits blitz for Tien-kai Lo at Field of the Chariots. The ORIX Buffaloes center fielder tore into Saitama Seibu for 5 hits in 5 at-bats and wrote his name into the record book. But it wasn't enough to win the game. The Saitama Seibu Lions swept past the Buffaloes 7-6 to ruin the day for him. The ORIX manager bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game. The Lions got too many good looks today, and we paid for it." Tien-kai Lo singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. |
