Ohayashi Raps Hokkaido Nippon-Ham for 5 Hits Saturday, May 6th, 2017 It was high-5 day at Ballpark of Nasu College, at least for Isei Ohayashi of the Chiba Lotte Marines. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. Ohayashi smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 13-11 win. His manager said, "Isei was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Isei Ohayashi singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. In this current campaign Ohayashi is hitting at a .296 clip with 7 home runs and 31 RBIs. |
