ORIX Parts Company with Skipper Ortega Wednesday, April 12th, 2017 ORIX has fired manager Miguel Ortega. "We were not doing the things you've got to do every day," the Buffaloes general manager told reporters. "We saw that things were not going to change. We had huge expectations coming into the season and we did not live up to them." The current coaching staff will be assigned to run the ballclub in the interim until a new manager can be hired. Ortega was told of his dismissal yesterday morning and was not available for comment. The ORIX spokesman called it a "sensitive and emotional" meeting with Ortega -- too sensitive to bring up whether Ortega would be offered another job in the Buffaloes system. |
