Nishikawa Wins PL's Best Bat Award Thursday, September 1st, 2016 When Kata Nishikawa stepped up to the plate in August, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Pacific League Batter of the Month award. The young Fukuoka SoftBank right fielder posted a .453 batting average with 5 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 24 runs. Nishikawa also worked pitchers for 13 walks to post a .551 on-base percentage. Nishikawa is batting .352 this year with 24 home runs, 90 RBIs and 93 runs scored. He has 118 hits in 335 at-bats. |
