Suzuki PL's Best of the Week Monday, August 29th, 2016 Saitama Seibu fans have something to crow about today as Saitama Seibu third baseman Teruo Suzuki nabbed the Pacific League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Suzuki. He posted a .600 average (9-15) this past week with no home runs, 2 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. Suzuki on the season is batting .338 with 18 home runs. His totals include 70 RBIs and 66 runs scored. He has played in 87 games. |
