Uchiyama Named CL Batter of the Month Monday, August 1st, 2016 For a rookie just breaking in, Yasujiro Uchiyama certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the CL Batter of the Month award for July. The 21-year-old right fielder for the Chunichi Dragons hit .439 with 6 home runs, 27 RBIs and 18 runs scored. This year Uchiyama is batting .360 with 96 hits, 20 home runs, 81 RBIs, 40 walks, .444 OBP and has scored 70 runs. |
