3-Homer Hat Trick for Ogura Monday, May 2nd, 2016 Nobukazu Ogura must believe in the "Big Bang Theory". He proved it today by going deep three times against the Chiba Lotte Marines. The heavy-hitting Saitama Seibu left fielder added a lot of firepower and excitement to today's 11-7 win over the Marines. Fans and foes alike are still buzzing about his standout performance at Field of the Chariots. He told reporters, "I've been working on my swing... trying to keep it short, compact and simple. It worked today." For the game he had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 6 and scored 3 runs. Nobukazu Ogura hit a solo-shot off Masamune Hayashi in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Masamune Hayashi in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Yoshiaga Okumura in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. So far this season Ogura is batting .220 with 5 home runs. |
