PL Premier Player Picked Monday, September 14th, 2015 It was an exceptional week for Shusaku Sugiyama of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. First he beat the devil out of the ball, hitting .571 and as you would expect, he was voted the Player of the Week in the Pacific League. Last week Sugiyama went 8-14, notched 2 home runs and 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs. All in all, a very good week for him. Sugiyama is currently batting .305 with 25 home runs, 63 RBIs and 73 runs scored. He has 89 hits in 292 at-bats. |
