Yokohama Sources Say Good Gone as Manager Tuesday, October 14th, 2014 The winds of change have hit Yokohama. Many saw the writing on the wall but it still came as sort of a surprise to the sports world when Tom Good was fired earlier today. The team cited intellectual differences as a contributing factor to their decision but refused to go into details. All that is clear as of right now is the job hunt is on for a new manager. "Tom just wasn't the right guy for our team and our situation right now," said a team official speaking on condition of anonymity. The Bay Stars spokesman indicated that Good "hadn't been meeting goals set out for him by the team owner". Good spoke with the press and said, "What's done is done. I'm just looking at my situation going forward, not backward. There's nothing I can change about the situation in Yokohama. I just have to focus on what's to come next in my baseball future." |
