Central League Names Top Player Monday, September 29th, 2014 Yomiuri Giants fans are celebrating Matsusuke Kichikawa's selection as Central League Player of the Week. Kichikawa put up some serious numbers over the past seven days as he cracked 9 hits in 17 at-bats. The 20-year-old first baseman hit .529, drove in 8 runs, scored 4 times and hit 2 home runs. Thus far in 2014 Kichikawa is hitting .297 with 21 home runs, 64 RBIs, 47 runs scored and has compiled a .422 OBP. |
