PL's Top Starter is Sato Thursday, August 1st, 2013 In July, Kinnosuke Sato tore through the Pacific League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 19 years old. The young Chiba Lotte starter posted a 4-0 mark and an ERA of 1.52 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 29.2 innings he collected 48 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .189 average. This season Sato has registered 10 wins and 2 losses in 17 starts with a 1.55 ERA. |
