22-Game Streak Ends, Pittman Hitless
Thursday, May 9th, 2019
The London Monarchs got more than a 5-1 victory over Kelowna today at Hatchets Ballpark. They put an end to Pat Pittman's 22-game hitting spree by holding him without a hit in 4 at-bats. But it was no big deal to the Heat right fielder.
Pittman seemed to feel more for his team than himself.
"I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit. I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today."
This year Pittman is batting .384 with 12 home runs and 52 RBIs. In 55 games he has scored 57 times.
