Hits Galore: Bailey Drills 5 Hits Sunday, May 5th, 2019 No matter what the Saskatoon Legends threw at him today, Steve Bailey hit it. He easily handled Legends pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Capitals to a 10-5 triumph at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The Saskatoon skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we might just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." Steve Bailey singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 7th. Bailey is batting .369 this season in 57 games with 9 home runs, 44 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has 82 hits in 222 at-bats. |
