Yamada Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, April 9th, 2019 Saskatoon shortstop Ryobe Yamada banged out 5 hits today, but it was not enough to keep his club from succumbing to the Stars 12-8. He went 5-for-5 and raised his batting average a few points. Despite the loss, Yamada was not dismayed: "If the hits keep coming," he said, "so will the runs -- and more importantly -- so will the wins." Ryobe Yamada singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 9th. Yamada is currently batting .383 with 3 home runs and 22 RBIs. |
