5-6 Day for Kemble Wednesday, March 13th, 2019 Today at Eliminators Ballpark Jamie Kemble put on an impressive display of hitting -- the Victoria first baseman tagged Montreal pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on his batting spree and lost the game to the Royales by the score of 18-11. "Hey, the loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it. 5-6 ain't bad in any league." Despite the terrific performance, Kemble remained somewhat somber. "Sure, I'm happy with my performance today," he was quoted as saying in the locker room, "But all that really matters in this game is that number in the win column. We just didn't get it done today." Jamie Kemble flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Eduardo Martínez in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Presently Kemble is batting .393 and has collected 1 home run, 7 RBIs, .431 OBP and scored 10 runs. |
