Keating Belts 5 Hits Friday, May 20th, 2016 Chris Keating really did a number on the Saints in the Montreal 28-5 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 7 at-bats. But Chris Keating did just that today for the Royales and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win. "I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 23-year-old left fielder said after his record-setting performance. Chris Keating hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Floyd Maher in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Rich Shnairson in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. This year Keating is batting .337 with 18 home runs and 49 RBIs. In 44 games he has scored 50 times. |
