Jeffery Takes Out Frustrations on Locker, Suffers Consequences
Tuesday, June 16th, 2015
After suffering through yet another heartbreaking loss, Trois-Rivieres third baseman Trevor Jeffery took his frustration out in the clubhouse. At first, Jeffery expressed his rage by shouting loudly and overturning a water cooler. However, the tantrum took a particularly ugly turn when Jeffery decided to take his anger out on his locker. "He unleashed a couple swift jabs to the metal door, then I saw him clutching his hand and wincing," said teammate Toufik Rolland. "I knew right then he'd hurt himself pretty bad." X-rays confirmed that Jeffery had in fact fractured his hand. "He's gonna be out for at least a month," said manager Jack Whitfield. "He really needs to learn to control his anger. Not having him available is gonna be a major setback for our team." The team will explore free agent and trade options, but may be forced to fill Jeffery's position internally.
