Niagara Reliever Out
Friday, April 12th, 2013
Niagara fans held their breath as Jeff Pittman left yesterday's Heat-Stars contest with an injury. After the game, the team's medical staff said that the 28-year-old reliever had suffered a damaged elbow ligament while throwing a pitch. It's estimated that he will be out 13 months.

This year Pittman has 7 relief appearances with no saves, 1-0 season record and a 4.32 ERA. He has hurled 8.1 innings, given up 10 hits, struck out 9 and walked 2. Opposing clubs have batted .286 against the Niagara reliever.
