Career Over for Bruins Gus Lamb Saturday, June 29th, 2019 A tearful Gus Lamb stood with UCLA Bruins officials and teammates as he announced that his baseball career was over. The 20-year-old reliever was recovering from a partially torn labrum, but the injury recently became worse and doctors recommended that he retire from the game. "It's really hard to leave because I love to play baseball," Lamb explained to reporters. "I'll miss playing baseball and living out my childhood dream, but I'll always cherish the memories I have. Despite this bad break, life has been good to me." |
