Those were the comments from Fresno State left fielder Lyle Simmons today as his 4-5 day included the cycle, a baseball rarity. "He sure was a wrecking ball today," said one teammate after the Bulldogs tamed the Wildcats 15-1 at Red Wings Ballpark. Lyle Simmons tripled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Joe Talley in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. So far this season Simmons is hitting .406 with 7 home runs. |
