Swinford Smacks 5 Hits for Buckeyes Friday, April 26th, 2019 Today at Brutes Ballpark Danny Swinford put on a hitting clinic as the Ohio State third baseman sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Kansas pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But the Jayhawks didn't really seem to care, they won the game 6-3. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch. It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." Danny Swinford singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the season Swinford is batting .246 with 42 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 20 times and batted in 18. |
