League Suspends Cowboys Parrish 7 Games Saturday, April 20th, 2019 Joe Parrish of the Cowboys has been suspended by the league commissioner's office for 7 games for his animated argument with a home plate umpire in yesterday's contest with the Alabama Crimson Tide at Titans Ballpark. In the heated confrontation the Oklahoma State left fielder pointed to where the ball was and repeatedly pointed his finger in the ump's face and apparently made some contact. That's when he got ejected. Reached for comment on the suspension, Parrish said, "I guess I'll have to learn how to not talk with my hands. They are a dangerous weapon according to the umpires." For the season Parrish has hit .285 with 11 home runs and 38 RBIs. He has played in 41 games and scored 28 times. |
