RDL Player of the Week Named
Monday, April 8th, 2019
The hottest bat of the week belonged to Louisiana-Layfayette shortstop Carl Harris.
He went on a rampage last week against RDL hurlers and rapped out 14 hits in 29 at-bats for a .483 average while hitting 5 home runs, driving in 18 runs and scoring 12 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the Rod Dedeaux League Player of the Week trophy.
Harris was honored today at a press conference.
So far in 2019 Harris is batting .457 with 14 home runs, 47 RBIs and 35 runs scored. He has 59 hits in 129 at-bats and a .493 OBP.
