5-Hit Game for Lucey Sunday, April 7th, 2019 Michigan catcher Rory Lucey put on quite a show at Forney College Grounds with a big 5-hit day. But all for naught. The Wolverines were beaten 21-19 by the Iowa State Cyclones. In the postgame interview he said, "The team didn't do too well today, but it was a good one for me, at least at the plate. Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average ... and my salary, too. But I could do without the losing." Rory Lucey hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run double in the 9th. This season Lucey is batting .275 with 2 home runs. |
