Riley Blisters Ohio State Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019 It was a big day with the bat for Scott Riley of the Miami Hurricanes at Ballpark of Bloomfield College as he bashed out hit after hit after hit to defeat Ohio State 16-5. After the game he said, "Guys, it's just one game in a long season. I hit it hard and found some holes today. 5 hits in 5 tries. But my hits are not the big thing in the game. The victory is the important thing. That's the story." At the end of the game Riley had collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats and a small mention in the record book. He was happy. He had a big day with the bat. And the Hurricanes had won. Scott Riley singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Carlos García in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year Riley is batting .278 with 25 hits, 1 home run, 10 RBIs, 5 walks, .316 OBP and has scored 8 runs. |
