League Suspends O'Slattery and Knowles for Fisticuffs Monday, March 25th, 2019 A bench-clearing brawl marred the Oklahoma State-Miami game at Canaries Ballpark yesterday and resulted in two players being suspended today by the league office. The Cowboys Frank O'Slattery and the Hurricanes Ty Knowles were ejected from the game for fighting. Both players will have to sit out 8 games. This season O'Slattery is swinging the bat at a .198 rate with 16 hits in 81 at-bats. To date he has hit 1 home run, scored 8 runs and driven in 8. For the year, Knowles has collected no saves in 12 relief appearances. He has also rung up 8 strikeouts and 6 walks in 10.1 innings while registering a 6.97 ERA and a 0-1 won-lost mark. |
