Waters Hits 3 Homers Against Arizona State Friday, March 22nd, 2019 Fireworks exploded with regularity in the Green Wave-Sun Devils game, but it wasn't a match that set them off -- it was the bat of Desmond Waters. He belted 3 home runs in an awesome display of sheer power. In the 12-9 Tulane victory Waters stunned the Sun Devils pitching staff for 3 hits in 4 at-bats and knocked in 4 runs. After the game, Waters said simply, "I saw everything they threw at me. Hitting was a piece of cake today... with lots of extra icing on it." Desmond Waters hit a solo-shot off Eddie Clarke in the 3rd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Floyd Henderson in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Dave Steward in the 7th. So far this season Waters has put up a .356 batting average with 21 hits, 11 home runs and 21 RBIs. |
