South Illinois's Meyer to Miss 4-5 Months Wednesday, March 20th, 2019 Disappointing news today for South Illinois Salukis fans. Eugene Meyer was hurt colliding with a player at a base in their game against the Florida Gators and has a broken kneecap. Team trainers were hesitant to predict a date for return but said it was likely the injury will keep the second baseman out at least 4-5 months. Meyer is batting at a .177 pace this season, picking up 11 hits in 62 at-bats with 2 home runs, 2 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
