5-6 Day for Herman Friday, April 20th, 2018 It was a sensational day at the plate for Joseph Herman as he led the charge to a 8-6 win over the Bruins. The California shortstop was pure misery for the UCLA pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Bruins told BNN reporters after the game, "Herman put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Joseph Herman singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Looking at his season stats, Herman has compiled a .324 batting average and a .346 on-base percentage, while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 20 runs. |
