Wilcox Belts 3 HRs Sunday, March 25th, 2018 Bill Wilcox was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the Florida State 11-9 triumph over Tennessee, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands. Nobody who was at Madera College Grounds will forget this home run outburst anytime soon. The Florida State center fielder went 4-7, rung up 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. He told the press corps after his three home run binge, "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight. I can't wait until tomorrow's game. I really feel good at the plate." Bill Wilcox hit a solo-shot off Paul Myers in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Paul Myers in the 5th, grounded out in the 8th, struck out in the 9th, walked in the 11th, flied out in the 13th and hit a two-run home run off Rob Bunch in the 15th. This year Wilcox is hitting .313 with 20 hits, 8 home runs, 18 RBIs and has scored 14 runs. |
