Horne, Cortéz Receive 5-Game Suspensions Tuesday, March 20th, 2018 Yesterday at Crunch Ballpark Jeff Horne and Jorge Cortéz lost their tempers and now they will have a few days off to cool down. The league office has suspended Oregon's Jeff Horne and USC's Jorge Cortéz for 5 games for fighting. The suspensions are scheduled to go into effect today. Currently Horne is batting .229 with 11 hits and 3 home runs. He has knocked in 7 runs and scored 7 times. So far this year Cortéz has made 5 relief appearances with no saves, thrown 8.2 innings and struck out 6 with a 0-0 record. |
