Commodores Garth Harris Sidelined
Thursday, April 27th, 2017
Garth Harris at first refused to leave today's Ohio State-Vanderbilt game after he suffered a broken kneecap while making a defensive play. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Vanderbilt center fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Harris out of action for 4-5 months.
This season Harris is hitting at a .298 pace with 7 home runs, 33 RBIs and has scored 39 times.
