Big Day for Robinson: Swats 5 Hits
Saturday, April 15th, 2017
"It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what North Carolina second baseman Joe Robinson said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-6 day against the Wake Forest Demon Deacans. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."
However, his sensational day wasn't enough. The Demon Deacans won the ballgame 11-9.
The disappointed Robinson said to reporters, "I guess you can't always have it all." He added, tongue in cheek, "I guess it's better to go 5 for 6 and lose than it is to go 0 for 6 and lose."
Joe Robinson hit a solo-shot off Arthur Trail in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
So far this season Robinson has gotten 40 hits in 125 at-bats for a .320 batting average with 6 home runs. His stats include 30 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has played in 32 games.
