Aguilar Stretches Hit String to 20
Wednesday, April 5th, 2017
The red-hot hitting Manuel Aguilar is riding high with a 20-consecutive-game hitting streak and is drawing a lot of attention at the ballpark and in the press. The 21-year-old Wake Forest center fielder continued the streak today at Cypress Quarters College Grounds with 2 hits in 5 at-bats as the Demon Deacans got the best of the Oklahoma State Cowboys 12-11.

"It's great," one of his teammates said. "To be able to hit behind him and watch him, it's been fun. It's been fun and exciting to watch. Not only fans in Wake Forest, but baseball fans everywhere appreciate what is going on right now, and it has everyone on the edge of their seats wondering what he is going to do."
Manuel Aguilar walked in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off David Henry in the 10th.

Presently Aguilar is batting .430 with 15 home runs and 38 RBIs. He has played in 26 games and scored 39 times.
