Johnston Trips on Tricky Tarp Thursday, March 9th, 2017 "I just need to pay closer attention to my surroundings," chuckled Joshua Johnston of the Tigers, after tripping over the automatic tarp at Ballpark of Ridge College this afternoon. The tarp had been rolled out as the result of a brief rain shower during afternoon practice. Johnston raced out onto the field as the tarp was being rolled up and, after being momentarily distracted, stepped awkwardly on the edge of the mechanism. Having apparently twisted his ankle, Johnston immediately fell to the ground and writhed in pain for a few moments. "It looked pretty painful", said teammate Joe Hart. Johnston was able to make light of the incident, despite the fact that it might cost him a few games. "Hey, I'm lucky," Johnston said with a smirk. "Those things can be real death traps!" |
