Thompson Smacks 5 Hits for Crimson Tide Wednesday, May 18th, 2016 "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Alabama first baseman Pat Thompson said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-6 day against the Clemson Tigers at Magistrates Ballpark. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Crimson Tide had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 20-13. Pat Thompson struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ray Moore in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. So far this season Thompson has hit .331 with 4 home runs, 23 RBIs and and scored 42 times. |
