No Recovery For Bulldogs Hoffman, Setback Forces Him Out Thursday, September 3rd, 2015 Georgia starting pitcher Phil Hoffman has been diagnosed with a bone spur in his elbow, an injury so severe that will end his baseball career. "It's very disappointing," Hoffman told reporters today. "It was totally unexpected, which makes it a little bit harder to deal with." Doctors originally thought he would have a full recovery. The 19-year-old Hoffman has been in treatment and reported he was making great progress, when things suddenly went sour. He told BNN, "It went from good to bad... and then finally, to the worst case - doctors said my career is over." |
