Red-Hot Germán Scorches Titans Friday, May 8th, 2015 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. UCLA's Gilberto Germán had a very special day against the Titans when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the UCLA Bruins to a 7-4 win at Hartford College Grounds. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Germán said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Gilberto Germán singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. This year Germán has hit at a .299 pace and produced 13 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 10 runs. |
