Manager Chet Hooper Fired by Aggies Thursday, June 5th, 2014 Today the Aggies made an announcement: The era of Chet Hooper is over in Texas A&M. After a disappointing season, the club officials sat down with Hooper to discuss their decision to make a change. "It wasn't a surprise to me." Hooper said speaking with reporters. "As a team we did not perform up to people's expectations, nor to my expectations. When that happens, someone has to take the blame. This year, that person was me." In an official statement, the Aggies expressed gratitude for Hooper's efforts, but confirmed the need to look for a different voice in the clubhouse. "We thank Chet for providing class, professionalism, experience and leadership during his tenure with the club, but believe we need to make this important change to our team's management." |
