Hernández Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, September 18th, 2019 History in the making. That's what the fans at Penlee Park got to see today, when Houston outplayed the Panthers 21-2. Jorge Hernández of the Sting came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Vista. In the postgame press conference the Vista skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." Jorge Hernández singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this year Hernández is hitting .357 with 3 home runs. |
