Vimpany Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 Graeme Vimpany told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Vimpany of the Coney Island Cyclones did against the Barrow Frosties. He went to the plate 6 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Frosties, who suffered a 17-6 defeat. "Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us." Graeme Vimpany singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, walked in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Vimpany is presently hitting at a .211 pace with 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and has scored 14 times. |
