Thuy Bashes 5 Base Hits
Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019
What a day for Kim-Hu Thuy of the Bel Air Princes! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen every day! He ripped Houston pitching apart at Woodland Park and sparked the Princes to a 7-6 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing his special day 5 for 6.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Thuy told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that."
Kim-Hu Thuy grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Bob Hill in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, grounded out in the 10th and hit an RBI double in the 12th.
In his season totals, Thuy has 7 home runs, .243 BA, .354 OBP, 31 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has played in 62 games.
