Week's Top Player: Kingwood's Daig Monday, August 5th, 2019 A hot-hitting week got Billy Daig the Buck O'Neil League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The Kingwood center fielder slammed them for a .875 average, 7 hits in 8 at-bats, 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 7 runs. In the postgame press conference, Daig shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that." So far this year, Daig is batting .369 with 18 home runs and 67 RBIs. |
