Buck O'Neil League #1 Hurler is Kathirithamby Thursday, August 1st, 2019 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Mulia Kathirithamby, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The St. Paul Saints closer, 19, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .186 average and walked away with the Buck O'Neil League Pitcher of the Month award for July. Kathirithamby posted a 1-1 mark and a 1.42 ERA in 12 relief appearances. In 12.2 innings, he had 8 saves, 12 strikeouts, and 3 walks. For the season Kathirithamby has earned 28 saves, worked 48 innings, fanned 35 hitters and recorded a 3.56 ERA. He has held opposing teams to a .233 batting average. |
