Buck O'Neil League's Best Batter Announced Monday, July 22nd, 2019 When it came to hitting the baseball, José Ibarra was in a class by himself in the Buck O'Neil League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding first baseman for Chippewa tagged opposing pitchers for a .480 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 3 homers, 9 runs scored and 14 RBIs. Looking at his stats this year, Ibarra has compiled a .308 batting average, while hitting 22 home runs and driving in 96 runs. He has played in 94 games and scored 71 runs. |
